Final Review

Neo-London Map

The Neo-London Map represents an urban traveller who considers what London could be in his mind including personal city image, imagination and memory. The map reveals the trace and time of travel. 2.5Dimensional representation recomposes the construction of London in vision. Both create an opportunity of how people view, think, and feel London in different way.

Replacement

2.5D models are put back to the real sites instead of the partly original views and events, and then reframe them again. The models become the situational models, which means they are not only "the model" anymore. Through the objects putting between camera and model as foregrounds, the models will be the middle ground, and the view from the real sites will be the background. Reframing them again makes the frames be more absurd and unclear between reality and delusion.

Urban Theatre Script

The purpose of this research is to give a suggestion in description and representation of how people experience and understand city as a series of fragments in vision. 2.5 Dimensional presentation in this project is a technique to present urban fragments from people’s spatial experiences. Therefore, this project is also dealing with the replacement and reconfiguration of urban fragments. The events in the city are chosen to perform in this urban theatre. This is a concept of how people describe their city image place by place, event by event.
