OCCUPATION

I chose these three sites to observe how the models can exist along without damage surfaces of sites. Three different situations show how the models develop their structures to match and hang on themselves with new structures.

There have two conditions which should be satisfied for choosing site.

1. The model can hang on without reach the ground.

2. The site is not really used such as between space

Saint Jerome in a Rocky Landscape

Joachin Patinir  1515-24        Oil on oak   36.2 x 34.3 cm.

Saint Jerome is shown as a hermit in the foreground. In the background is the final scene in the story of the saint's lion told in the 'Golden Legend'. The lion has been charged with guarding the monastery ass: the ass was stolen by some merchants while the lion was asleep, but was later recognised by the lion and the merchants responsible for the theft came to beg forgiveness from the abbot. (National Gallery)

I chose this painting because its perspective and the relation of scale attract me and make me thought about surrealism. I combined the model that I have done two days ago. The idea is quite simple. I define the model as a cell which can divide and change itself to match different environment. Therefore I put them in different place with few different perspectives and scales. I haven’t give to clear function for every model, probable it’s not necessary yet. One of the models near the hermit may be an object across between rock and ground. One of the models in the left hides under the rock just like an insect. The other one in the top of middle was set between rock and ground which could be a huge machine exists in environment. The other two at the right top could be the huge constructions lie on the seaside. Also, at the left side, the model could be a spaceship park next to the castle.

ANALYSIS-2

Adopt the concept of cell including nucleus, cytoplasm and cell membrane to develop
seven different cells and their two method of cell divisions which are meiosis and mitosis

ANALYSIS-1

REOGRANISATION AND CREATION

Before using this toy, the image of autogiro should be broken because its image is too strong and clear.
Divide this metal into several sections depend on its order of folding into autogiro

MODEL 1
Keep the same shape of foldingin in the same groups but reorganise them

MODEL 2
Keep each piece of metal in the same group from marking but change their shape of folding and reorganise groups

MODEL 3
Demolish every group and every piece of metal and reorganise them

In this step I change the structure from inside to outside. In the previous structure, big pieces of metal surround outside as main structure of autogiro. Therefore, I use these big pieces of metal as structure as well and put them in the inside to build which can totally change the shape and image of autogiro and make it go far away from original one.

MODEL 4
Use third model as base and combine a part of system from first and second models. The characteristics of first and second modes is they use foloding surrounding outside as main structure to build model. the third midel of characteristic is build structure from inside. Thus, combin both characteristics can keep the original structure and also have new structure which mix together making model more complicated, interesting and going far away from autogiro.
